Michaels is a 2017 graduate of The University of Texas School of Law. While an undergraduate at The University of Texas, Michaels was in the Texas Army National Guard and led a peacekeeping mission in Sinai, Egypt. Before he returned to law school, Michaels taught middle school social studies in Denver through Teach for America and later taught English in South Korea. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Christopher Mott of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas, as a legal intern for the Office of the Attorney General of Texas and as a staff editor for the Texas Review of Law & Politics. His practice focus is commercial litigation.
Louque, whose primary practice areas are civil litigation and employment, is no stranger to the firm. She twice served as a summer associate. After graduating from the University of Texas, she earned her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2017. While in law school, she successfully competed in moot court competitions and was an executive articles editor of the Business & Bankruptcy Law Journal.
Singleterry earned a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma and graduated first in his class at the Texas A&M School of Law in 2015. He served as Articles Editor on the Law Review. Before joining Cantey Hanger, he served as an assistant district attorney in Tarrant County and tried 17 cases to a jury and wrote six appellate briefs. Singleterry will practice in the areas of professional malpractice defense, construction defense and select family law matters.
Dickey has joined the firm’s Business, Tax and Estates Section. He earned a B.B.A. and a law degree from Southern Methodist University, during which time he was President of the Federalist Society and earned moot court Best Advocate honors. He built a general law practice and returned to SMU to complete his Master of Laws in Taxation. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2008 and is a member of the Dallas and Tarrant County Bar Associations.
