International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP today announced that Kevin Crews, a Corporate attorney in the Firm’s Dallas office, has been selected by the Business Council for the Arts (BCA) for its prestigious 2017-18 Leadership Arts Institute.
The BCA is a nonprofit organization founded in 1988 by local businesses committed to expanding business support for and involvement in arts and cultural organizations.
The BCA’s Leadership Arts Institute was founded in 1989 at the request of businessman and philanthropist Raymond D. Nasher, with the goal of developing the next generation of business leaders for the arts in North Texas. The program provides training in leadership, nonprofit board best practices and knowledge of current issues affecting cultural institutions in North Texas. Upon completion of the program, graduates are individually matched to serve on nonprofit boards of directors in the community.
Crews is a senior associate in Weil’s Corporate department, where he advises both public and private companies and private equity sponsors in a wide variety of complex corporate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, strategic investments, restructurings and financings. Crews has significant experience in oil and gas transactions as well as other corporate and commercial matters including corporate governance issues and strategic considerations.
