Burns360 has eight new certificates to hang on its walls. A digital marketing and PR firm based in Dallas, the agency challenged its entire digital marketing team to earn new HubSpot certifications by the end of Q1 this year.
All seven members of the company’s digital team have achieved their goal—six weeks ahead of the Q1 deadline—and one employee has even earned two certifications.
Newly certified staffers include:
- Michael Burns: Inbound Marketing
- Jeff Green: Inbound Marketing
- Jennifer Green: Inbound Marketing
- Keith Hobbs: Inbound Marketing and Content Marketing
- Dan Kiuna: Hubspot Design
- Raleigh Kung: Inbound Marketing
- Erik Wheater: Content Marketing
HubSpot is a leading inbound marketing and sales platform that helps companies attract visitors, convert leads and close customers. To be HubSpot-certified, candidates must complete a series of online classes and pass a comprehensive test to earn certification.
“One of the things I like most about HubSpot is that you must reapply for certification every year in order to keep your designation,” said Michael Burns, president of Burns360. “Inbound marketing methodologies are nothing new, but the algorithms and platforms keep changing so fast that this year’s best practices can actually be next year’s liabilities.
“So, if you’re a marketer, you’ve just got to keep up to date with what’s trending and what’s no longer relevant,” Burns added. “Going forward, we’re going to make annual certification mandatory for all of our inbound and digital marketing employees.”
