Terry Orr joins as Forensic, Investigative and Dispute Services practice leader for the Texas/Oklahoma region; Mark Andrus relocates from firm’s Portland office
Terry Orr has joined Grant Thornton LLP as a managing director and the Forensic, Investigative and Dispute Services practice leader for the Texas/Oklahoma region. Mark Andrus, national Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit Services practice leader and partner, has relocated to the Dallas office from the firm’s Portland office.

Orr has more than 25 years of experience in audit services. He specializes in forensic accounting services, including fraud detection, investigation, remediation and prevention, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations, whistle blower claims, post-acquisition disputes and expert testimony on accounting issues, including auditor defense and prosecution. Most recently, Orr was a principal in the Fraud and Forensic Recovery practice at Ryan Inc. Prior to Ryan Inc., he was a senior managing director at FTI Consulting Inc.
Orr is a certified public accountant (CPA) in Texas and a chartered global management accountant. He is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Orr received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.
Andrus is the national leader of the firm’s R&D Tax Credit Services practice and leads a team of R&D tax credit specialist that provide a wide range of services, including initial year R&D analysis, annual R&D credit reviews, documentation review and analysis, Fin48 analysis, Internal Revenue Service and state audit support and appeals support. Andrus joined the firm in 1999 and has more than 20 years of R&D tax services experience. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Andrus worked several years in the tax consulting practice of another large accounting firm.
Andrus is a CPA in Texas and Oregon and a member of the AICPA. He received a master’s degree in accounting with an emphasis in tax and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.
