Grant Thornton LLP admitted Rina Parikh and Lydia Radnik as Audit partners and David Rohlmeier as Tax principal in the firm’s Dallas office effective Aug. 1. In addition to these promotions, Susanne Shalley and Chad Virnig also joined the firm as Tax partner and Advisory Services principal, respectively. The firm also promoted Rebekah Feather to Corporate Strategic Federal Tax Services managing director and Debbie Rollins to Audit managing director. Across the firm, Grant Thornton admitted 50 new partners and principals and promoted 29 professionals to managing director.

Managing directors are the highest-level employee position in the firm and are important members of the firm’s leadership team.

Parikh joined Grant Thornton in 2003 and has 17 years of experience in public accounting, managing financial statement audits and internal audits for both public and private clients in a broad range of industries, including financial services, real estate and energy. She has assisted several companies with initial public offering, additional equity and debt offering filing reports as required by the 1933 and 1934 Securities Acts. Prior to being admitted as partner, she served as a senior manager. Parikh also serves as the Dallas office champion for Women at Grant Thornton, an initiative focusing on the recruitment, retention and development of women at the firm.
Parikh is a certified public accountant (CPA) in Texas and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). She received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Narsee Monjee College and an accounting degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Radnik joined the firm in 1997 and has nearly 20 years of experience in public accounting, working on audits ranging in industries from consumer and industrial products to asset management. During her tenure at Grant Thornton, she completed a five-month secondment in Perth, Australia. She currently leads both the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan and Hedge Fund Audit practices for the Dallas office. Prior to being admitted as partner, she served as a managing director.
Radnik is a CPA in Texas and a member of the AICPA. She received a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, and has also served as the Professional in Residence for the department of accounting at the University of North Texas.
Rohlmeier joined the firm in 2005 and has more than 25 years of experience, with an emphasis on complex business matters related to state and local tax services, including state tax audits, sales tax refunds and nexus issues. He specializes in audit representation and reverse audits. He works with clients in a broad range of industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, oil and gas, retail, construction and technology. Prior to being admitted as partner, he served as a managing director.
Rohlmeier is a Certified Member of the Institute of Professionals in Taxation. He received a bachelor’s of business administration degree from the College of Santa Fe.
Shalley joins Grant Thornton from Deloitte LLP, where she served for nearly 15 years in various roles of increasing responsibility, assisting in auditing tax accruals for multinational public companies and providing tax accounting services to non-audit clients. The majority of her experience includes global co-sourcing engagements that outsource their compliance and accounting for income taxes. She also has extensive experience with other complex tax and business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, accounting periods and methods, multistate tax planning and financial reporting for income taxes. In her new role, she will lead the firm’s Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services practice in Dallas.
Shalley is a CPA in Texas and a member of the AICPA. She received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from George Mason University.
Virnig joins Grant Thornton from IBM, where he served for more than a decade in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as a partner with IBM’s Distribution sector for Travel and Transportation, leading sales and delivery for the sector’s largest and most complex accounts. Previously, he served for nearly 10 years consulting and management roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Andersen Consulting. He has extensive experience defining and delivering enterprise transformational process and technology programs to maximize business results.
Virnig received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from St. John’s University.
Feather joined the firm in 2012 and has more than 10 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on strategic tax projects such as the research and development tax credit and cost classification, health care and corporate tax compliance. She has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including technology, oil and gas, defense and consumer products. Prior to her promotion to managing director, she served as a senior manager.
Feather is a CPA in Texas and a member of the AICPA and the TSCPA. She received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Iowa.
Rollins joined the firm in 2010 and has nearly 15 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on the not-for-profit, higher education, health care and government sectors. Prior to her promotion to managing director, she served as a senior manager.
Rollins is a CPA in Texas and a member of the AICPA. She received a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
