Joe Tria joins as chief learning and leadership officer, Laura Sue D’Annunzio joins as strategic talent leader, and Tracy McShane-Wilson joins as talent acquisition leader
Grant Thornton LLP is growing its People & Culture leadership team with the additions of Joe Tria, Laura Sue D’Annunzio and Tracy McShane-Wilson, who join as chief learning and leadership officer, strategic talent leader, and talent acquisition leader, respectively. Tria and D’Annunzio are based in the firm’s Chicago office and McShane-Wilson is based in the Dallas office.

In his new role, Tria will lead Learning and Organizational Effectiveness, Grant Thornton’s learning, development, performance and succession management function, where he will focus on performance management evolution and partner succession. Tria succeeds Mark Stutman, who has retired from the firm.
Most recently, Tria served as PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s relationship director of partner and leadership development, where he was instrumental in modernizing the firm’s thinking and approach to learning and leadership advancements, as well as performance management. He was also the architect of PwC’s professional skills development strategy, competency development and essential programs that developed brand strategy and achieved growth and profitability for the firm. Previously, he was chief learning officer at Rockwell Automation Inc.
Tria received a master’s degree in fine arts and a bachelor’s degree in English and psychology from Illinois State University.
D’Annunzio will take a leadership role in talent management and optimization, which includes HR delivery, capacity and resource management for both external and internal client services teams, and employee relations and engagement.
Most recently, D’Annunzio was the senior director of global talent management at Bain & Company Inc. Previously, she was a client-serving partner at Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., where she delivered large-scale change strategies for corporate clients. Prior, she was a partner at A.T. Kearney Inc.
D’Annunzio is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and serves as the vice chair of the Wellesley College Business Leadership Council. She received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in economics and computer science from Wellesley College.
McShane-Wilson will provide comprehensive leadership for the talent acquisition space, overseeing university, experienced and executive hiring.
Most recently, McShane-Wilson served as the talent acquisition director for North America at Ericsson Inc. There, she was responsible for overseeing a team of 100 recruiters who hired 3,000 employees annually in the United States and Canada. Previously, she was a recruiting manager at Deloitte LLP.
McShane-Wilson received a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in communications from Lamar University.
