Chris Gilbert Joins Bryan Cave as Intellectual Property Litigation Partner

The international law firm Bryan Cave LLP announced today that Chris Gilbert has joined the firm's Dallas office as a partner. Gilbert will practice in the Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation Client Service Groups.

"Chris will enhance our ability to counsel clients in the creation, protection and evolution of intellectual property, which is a key driver of the American economy," said Don Lents, Bryan Cave chairman.

Gilbert's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation for a number of domestic and international companies. In particular, his practice centers on complex patent and trade secret litigation over a broad range of technologies including medical devices, pharmaceuticals and software.

Gilbert also handles general business and corporate litigation matters. He advises management and board members on corporate governance and transaction issues, strategic protection of intellectual property assets and managing business risk outside litigation. Additionally, he counsels entertainment clients, such as professional athletes, artists and musicians.

Gilbert, a native Texan, received his J.D. in 1999 from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He received his M.A. in 1994 and B.A., magna cum laude, in 1992 from Midwestern State University.
