DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TEXAS - Alan Goldfarb, director of wealth advisory services at Weaver Wealth Management, was recently honored as the recipient of the Legacy Builder category winner of Financial Planning magazine's Influencer Awards.
This annual award, chosen by the magazine's editors, honors innovative advisors whose ideas and work help lead the financial planning industry. This award is bestowed in six categories: Industry Contributor of the Year, Practice Management, Technology Innovator, Wealth Creator, Legacy Builder and Lifetime Achievement.

Goldfarb has been a certified financial planner professional since 1978 and has extensive experience in investments, employee benefits and estate planning. He currently serves as a director for Weaver Wealth Management, the registered investment advisor for Weaver, the largest independent accounting firm in the Southwest. A recognized leader in the financial planning industry, Goldfarb also serves as the chair of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board of Standards' Board of Directors, the organization that awards CFP certifications to professionals that successfully complete the necessary certification requirements. He is the former chair of the CFP Board of Professional Review.
Goldfarb is the former executive director of the Southwest Institute for Personal Financial Education at the University of Dallas; an arbitrator and mediator for the American Arbitration Association; a former national board member of the International Association for Financial Planning; board member of Dallas Summer Musicals; and former national vice chairman of Planned Giving for the American Heart Association. His numerous honors include being named a top financial advisor by Worth magazine for six consecutive years; two-time best wealth manager according to Medical Economics and Texas Monthly magazines; and best financial planner and wealth manager in Dallas by D Magazine.
