Executive Leader with 20 Years Experience will Guide Business Development, Marketing Strategy

DESOTO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Warrior Group, a DeSoto-based general contractor that delivers commercial construction projects for the public and private sectors, has appointed Susan Johnson as chief development officer, responsible for the business development and marketing departments. Johnson is an executive level leader with more than 20 years of experience in strategic development, sales, marketing, IT and operations.

In this position, Johnson will be responsible for developing Warrior Group's corporate business development strategy along with its market segment-specific strategies. She will also oversee all branding, advertising and marketing initiatives for the company.

Prior to Warrior Group, Johnson served as the chief marketing officer at Adolfson & Peterson Construction, where she led the marketing and business development efforts across all six of A&P's regions.

She began her career at General Mills, Inc., spending 17 years in key positions throughout the company, including business development, sales, marketing and information systems. Her accomplishments included upgrading support services, business processes and organizational effectiveness, overseeing multi-million dollar budgets, developing a strategic business relationship with the company's third largest customer, and developing national trade strategies.

Johnson later served as the director of sales and administration and then as the vice president of operations for J.O.Y. Foods, Inc., a foodservice manufacturing company in Dallas. There she led the sales, finance and manufacturing operations, including overseeing the construction and start up of the company's first manufacturing facility.

Johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and business from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and did post graduate studies in business at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minn.
