Dallas Associated Dermatologists has been around since 1954, and the business continues to find ways to operate more efficiently.

Laserfiche, which provides enterprise content management solutions, honored the Dallas company this week with a Run Smarter Award for "promoting organizational agility through innovative use of Laserfiche enterprise content management."

Laserfiche, headquartered in Long Beach, Calif., says more than 27,000 organizations worldwide in a variety of industries use its ECM solutions. Other 2010 Run Smarter winners included Texas A&M University - Kingsville.

Bill Duke, executive director of Dallas Associated Dermatologists, said in a news release, "Providing state-of-the-art care isn't just about attracting the best doctors and staying abreast of the latest medical developments; it's also about implementing innovative technology that helps your practice run as smoothly as possible."

The practice wanted to transition away from paper charts, but it also wanted its electronic records to mirror the paper charts. So it turned to Laserfiche for that flexibility.

Dallas Associated Dermatologists has three locations in the Metroplex. The practice offers medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery.

The medical doctors on staff are: Chris Crawford, Mary Fleischli, R. Todd Plott, Sarah Scott, Jerald Sklar, Abraham Kuruvilla, Laura Sears, Frank Saporito and James Davie.

The beauty of the ECM solution? It doesn't really change the way those doctors work, and it doesn't hurt patient relationships, Duke said.
